The Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce recognizes the value of membership is different for everyone. In order to create the best value for all members, we provide a variety of specialized services and products. Recently, we have updated our Suite of Member Services, to ensure we are meeting the needs of our member businesses. We continue to speak with our members, to determine their needs and their expectations; and are committed to updating these services on a regular basis.

The overriding goal of all our member programs and services is to ensure that businesses receive value for their membership, whether that be through business savings, direct access to decision makers, or access to information and resources. Our new ACC Suite of Services includes the following:

• Member CAMPUS - Regular monthly seminars on business management, professional development and mentorship - FREE to all members!
• Member EXCHANGE - A marketplace of businesses providing discounts and benefits to our members - also FREE to all members!
• Chamber EVENTS - From our new Small Business Conference, golf tournament, and monthly/seasonal gatherings, events provide an opportunity to tell your business story.
• Member HIGHLIGHTS - We are committed to engaging with our members. When you are ready, let us know. We'll come to your office, talk business and promote you on our growing social media.
• Chamber ADVOCACY - We represent Winnipeg West businesses, by speaking on behalf of the business community on issues that matter to them.

Member CAMPUS

Businesses have access to Member CAMPUS - a series of monthly information sessions designed to help you manage your business. The sessions help sole proprietorships, not-for-profits, and SME's address key issues their businesses face on a daily basis.

Member EXCHANGE

This program helps the chamber promote member products and services to other members. In the EXCHANGE, the chamber acts as a broker, working with members to create promotional deals that can be offered to all our members. The chamber is committed to promoting participating businesses on a regular basis - as part of the Member EXCHANGE. Benefits offered in the program can help a business save more in a year than the cost of their membership!

Advocacy and Policy

The Chamber takes its responsibility to represent the business community in Winnipeg West seriously. Our Advocacy team responds to issues that affect the business community. In addition, the new advocacy approach is proactive, meeting with industry leaders in the region to understand their needs, and to develop task forces designed to address key issues before they become a concern, ensuring that regional issues are addressed with your needs in mind. 

Connection and Engagement

ACC provides direct access to government and business decision makers. Our events - from large gatherings and conferences to small, intimate mixers - provide an opportunity to meet and communicate with leaders directly. In addition, our growing social media presence also provides us with an opportunity to promote our members in a way that endorses the business and provides information to a broader audience. Not great at networking? We have programs that will help you take advantage of being in the room with the people you need to speak with.  

Member Materials & Information

At every event we host, there is an opportunity to have a booth or to distribute your company information. Let us know what you want to tell the members, and we will create a promotional plan that enables you to accomplish your goal. If it's your first time reaching out to members, we can start with a Member Highlight on social media, link to your website, and then follow up with program distribution at an event. We understand you have joined the chamber to increase your business - let our communications tools assist with that process.

Social Media/Advertising

We are building a social media community, and becoming a consistent content contributor online. We want to follow your business, and we would encourage you to follow us. Let us know if you are posting something important, and we'll make sure to repost/share the information (and make a comment on your activity). Let's start a conversation online, and make sure you are reaching as wide an audience as possible.

Website Listing 

As a Chamber member, your business information is automatically added to our website. But if you just have a generic page, your business may not stand out (and you will be missing sales opportunities)! We encourage you to take some time to develop your profile in our member directory - to make sure you are being found by our members. Better yet, let's talk about how the Member EXCHANGE program can help you develop a program where we promote your "monthly deal" to all ACC members.

As a participant, we help you sell directly to our members. As a member, we provide you with a list of companies willing to offer you a discount, simply because you are member of the chamber! Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan is Canada’s largest group benefit program for small business, serving over 30,000 firms. As a Chamber member, you can use Chamber Plan to protect yourself and your employees with comprehensive group benefits.

The chamber decal displayed in your window lets customers know you are a member of the Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce. We will also send you a .jpg of our member logo to add to your website and social media sites. Contact us for more details!

Member Information Centre (MIC)

The MIC is your portal for staying connected with our Chamber community. Members can update their profiles, post events and promotions, access resources, and register for Chamber activities, all in one convenient place. It’s designed to help you maximize your membership and boost your visibility within the local business network.
